Enjoying the concept of motion in her work, Pamela Penner feels a painting is an interpretation of a living moment captured in time. Take for instance, a ripple on a lake, the surge of a wave on the shore, or the shadow on a wall, never to appear in quite the same way again. For a painting to be successful, she feels it should make the onlooker wish they could jump right in and be there.

Meet the Artist – Pamela Penner
Living in the artistic community of Encinitas, California, Pamela began seriously working with oils on canvas about 10 years ago. Mostly self taught, she feels her greatest surge of learning came from weekly painting sessions with a group of experienced artists over a several year period. She has participated in local art leagues and shows, and her work sells locally, as well as in the Mid-West. Some of her art also hangs in England. Pamela’s other interests include writing, golf, cooking and travel.
