Here we are…May 2010. Spring, a time of new beginnings in nature, is going at full force as I get ready to launch my website www.PennerArt.com. May, also my birthday month, is a time of year which urges me to take stock of my life and adjust its course if need be. I’ve determined that it’s time to step up and promote my art in a bigger way.

For years, family and friends have urged me to promote my art more aggressively and I’ve always resisted. I’ve felt a bond and attachment to my paintings that some may find a bit quirky or eccentric! I prefer to call it passion!! My Mom told me recently, that if I should miss a painting after selling it, to just paint another one. Although that seems like logical advice, and the new painting would be quite similar, it could never be the same. I guess that‘s the essence and beauty of original art. Each painting, as a living thing, takes on a personality of its own from a painter whose life experiences are constantly changing.

The good news is that I have worked through my resistance and I’m truly excited about my paintings going on to new homes and walls! Hopefully, my paintings will bring a lifetime of joy and pleasure to their new owners. Now, that would make me incredibly happy! Please take a look at the new website and let me know what you think.
